Pressure Rising Special Research
Free Special Research available to all trainers starting March 3, 2026, rewarding an encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Volcanion upon completion.
Evolved Shinies in the Wild
Any evolved Pokemon in the wild can now be Shiny if it has already had its Shiny debut. Increased Shiny rates in Raids, Eggs, and Team GO Rocket rescues.
Daily Discoveries
Each day of the week features a unique bonus: Double-Time Sunday (2x Incense/Lure duration), Max Monday (frequent Power Spots), Showcase Tuesday, Raid Hour Wednesday (6-7 PM), GO Battle Thursday (4x Stardust from wins), and Friendship Friday (2 Special Trades, Lucky Trade boost).
GO Pass
Limited-time progression track with free and Deluxe paid variants. Complete Pass Tasks to earn GO Points and increase rank for rewards.
Event Structure Changes
Weekend events move to Saturdays. Events transition from paid tickets to event GO Passes. An in-game event calendar launches later this season.
Whats Your Favorite? Camera Feature
A new camera feature lets trainers photograph their favorite Pokemon and share with friends.
GO Battle League
Competitions include Kanto Cup, Fantasy Cup, and Jungle Cup throughout the season.
Research Breakthrough
Encounter Gyarados, Honedge, Dhelmise, Sinistea, Duraludon, or Dreepy from Research Breakthroughs.
